Junior Restaurant Manager

SUMMARY:
Busy Restaurant based in Sandton is looking for a young and eager Junior Restaurant Manager to oversee daily floor operations, manage front- and back-of-house staff, handle inventory, and ensures guest satisfaction.

POSITION INFO:
Duties: Oversee daily service openings and closings, monitor health and safety standards, and manage point-of-sale (POS) systems. Supervise and motivate team members, handle shift scheduling, and conduct training or performance feedback. Track food and beverage stock, upload invoices, reconcile daily cash-ups, and manage supplier deliveries. Address guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and build relationships with regular patrons. Requirements: Grade 12 A formal hospitality qualification At least 2+ years of experience as a restaurant supervisor, junior manager, or senior waiter in casual dining, hotels, or cafes. Strong communication, problem-solving, cash-handling accuracy, and leadership under pressure. Flexibility to work weekends, public holidays, and evening shifts.
