POSITION INFO:
What You'll Be Doing As the Tax Operations Specialist, you will play an important role in ensuring tax compliance, mitigating financial risks and supporting effective tax reporting across the business. Your responsibilities will include: Preparing and reviewing tax calculations, returns and supporting reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with statutory deadlines. Managing tax compliance requirements relating to Corporate Income Tax, VAT and employee taxation. Supporting the implementation and application of global tax compliance policies and procedures. Assisting with customs reviews and related tax compliance matters across different markets. Collaborating with local and international accounting teams to ensure accurate and timely tax reporting. Supporting monthly, quarterly and annual financial reporting cycles. Providing guidance to internal stakeholders on tax implications, including transfer pricing and routine tax reporting. Liaising with tax authorities to resolve queries, address compliance matters and minimise potential penalties. Identifying potential tax risks and opportunities for process improvements. Providing tax related guidance and training to internal teams where required. What We're Looking For A Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline. Equivalent relevant experience will also be considered. A postgraduate qualification in Taxation will be advantageous. A minimum of 3 years' solid experience in a Corporate Tax Consultant, Tax Analyst or similar role. Strong working knowledge of South African tax legislation, particularly Corporate Income Tax, VAT and employee taxation. Exposure to international taxation, customs and excise will be highly advantageous. Experience in financial reporting across monthly, quarterly and financial year end cycles. Strong analytical and problem solving capabilities. Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills. The ability to work independently, take ownership and manage competing deadlines. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the confidence to engage stakeholders across different business functions. Why Consider This Opportunity?
