Senior Financial Manager (Engineering/Mining services)

SUMMARY:
High profile company within the engineering / manufacturing / mining services and capital equipment sector seeks a Senior Financial Manager reporting to the CEO. We seek an experienced hands-on CA(SA) with relevant working experience from within a similar business environment.

POSITION INFO:
Reporting to the CEO, we seek a CA(SA) with extensive relevant Financial Management working experience from within an engineering \/ manufacturing \/ mining services company. Duties will include: Manage, optimise and streamline the financial aspects of operating divisions and structures across multiple sites and geographies, including cross-border field service and export work Develop budgets, management and cost accounting, reporting and policies Consolidation of monthly results and analysis against forecast, budget and prior year results, and develop insights Partner with design, manufacturing, field services, procurement and sales departments to provide meaningful expense analysis and facilitate forecasting of expenses. Own job and contract costing including the analysis of operational costs and cost saving strategies Oversee revenue recognition, progress billings, retentions and guarantees on long-lead manufacturing and refurbishment contracts, and monitor work-in-progress valuation Oversee inventory accounting and valuation across raw materials, consumables, work-in-progress and finished goods, and ensure accurate tracking, counting and reporting of stock levels Manage foreign exchange exposure Manage the company secretarial responsibilities relating to general governance and reporting Manage the annual audit, tax compliance including SARS routine audits, statutory reporting and B-BBEE reporting requirements Play a central role in the management of remuneration systems, including payroll, overtime, site and travel allowances for field service teams, and applicable bargaining council obligations.
