Financial Accountant

SUMMARY:
Are you the person who makes sure the numbers are accurate, supported and ready on time? Our client is looking for a detail focused Financial Accountant to take ownership of reconciliations and financial reporting in a manufacturing environment.
Reporting to the Assistant Financial Manager, you’ll help maintain the integrity of the trial balance and support timely, compliant reporting.

POSITION INFO:
What you'll do Reconcile balance sheet accounts and maintain the fixed asset register. Review income statement allocations and explain monthly variances. Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports in line with reporting deadlines and accounting policies. Support annual audits and maintain sound financial controls. Assist with stock counts, reporting and analysis. Help document and improve finance processes and controls. What you'll bring A completed BCom Accounting, BCompt and\/or SAIPA qualification. Three to five years' experience in a similar financial accounting role. Current knowledge of IFRS, IFRS for SMEs and relevant VAT and income tax requirements. Good Microsoft 365 skills and a methodical, accurate approach to your work. Completed articles are preferred. Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central and Vena Solutions will be useful.
