Cost & Management Accountant

SUMMARY:
Do you enjoy getting close to the operation and finding the story behind the cost? Our client is looking for a Cost and Management Accountant who can keep inventory costing accurate and give production and commercial teams useful insight into profitability.

Reporting to the FP&A Manager, you’ll work across costing, stock, margins and reporting in a manufacturing business.

POSITION INFO:
What you'll do Maintain accurate costing of raw materials, packaging, inventory and bills of materials. Review production orders, work in progress, wastage and cost variances. Analyse sales and margins by product, category and sales channel. Provide pricing, new product and \"what if\" costings to support commercial decisions. Reconcile inventory accounts and support stocktakes, month end and year end audit work. Develop reports and improve controls and processes. What you'll bring CIMA qualification. At least five years' cost and management accounting experience in manufacturing. Strong knowledge of manufacturing BOMs, commercial finance and supply chain finance. Experience in budgeting, forecasting and profitability analysis. The ability to explain financial findings clearly to people across the business. FMCG experience is advantageous.
