Senior Python / AI Platform Engineer

POSITION INFO:
We are currently building our IT talent database and are looking to connect with experienced Python Engineers for current and future opportunities. We are particularly interested in professionals with strong Python development experience, API engineering, microservices, data integration and cloud-based deployment. Experience supporting AI/LLM-enabled applications or platform services is a plus. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop and maintain Python applications, backend services and platform components. Build and integrate REST APIs and microservices using frameworks such as FastAPI, Django or Flask. Integrate applications with databases, messaging systems, external services and data pipelines. Write testable, maintainable code and support code reviews, deployment, monitoring and production troubleshooting. Job Experience & Skills Required / Ideal Candidate Profile: Education A degree, diploma or equivalent relevant qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology or a related field is advantageous. Relevant Python, cloud, software engineering or AI-related certifications will be advantageous. Practical software engineering experience and demonstrable projects are valued. Additional experience with AI/LLM platforms or data-intensive systems is beneficial. Experience Typically 5+ years of professional software development experience with substantial hands-on Python development. Experience building backend services, APIs and/or microservice-based applications. Experience with relational or NoSQL databases, version control, automated testing and CI/CD. Cloud platforms, containers, event-driven systems or AI/LLM application integration experience will be highly advantageous. Skills Python programming, object-oriented design, debugging and code quality. FastAPI, Django or Flask and REST API development. SQL and/or NoSQL databases, data modelling and system integration.
