Development Finance | Impact Investing | Project Finance TERM: 24 months fixed-term contract An opportunity exists for a highly experienced finance professional to originate, evaluate, structure, and oversee high-impact investment initiatives that drive economic growth, employment creation, and sustainable development. This role is suited to an individual with extensive experience in project finance, corporate finance, structured finance, investment management, blended finance, impact investing, or development finance. Requirements Relevant degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, Development Finance, or related field 10+ years of experience in investment management, project finance, corporate finance, or transaction advisory Proven track record analysing and closing complex transactions Strong financial modelling and due diligence experience Experience assessing investment risk and funding structures Ability to engage with senior stakeholders across public and private sector environments Advantageous CFA, CA(SA), MBA Finance, Development Finance or similar postgraduate qualification Exposure to blended finance, climate finance, impact investing, ESG investments, infrastructure finance, or transition finance Experience within DFIs, investment funds, advisory firms, commercial banks, or private equity environments Key Focus Areas Originate and assess investment opportunities Structure innovative funding solutions Conduct financial, commercial, and operational due diligence Evaluate complex financial and investment models Lead investment recommendations and appraisal processes Monitor portfolio performance and investment risk Engage with investors, financiers, and strategic stakeholders Support economic development and employment-creating initiatives If you have a strong investment background and enjoy working at the intersection of finance, development, and impact, we would like to hear from you.
