Regional Nursing Supervisor (Eastern Cape)

A private, multi-disciplined pathology and medical laboratory is seeking a Regional Nursing Supervisor who will provide operational leadership, clinical oversight, quality management, and staff supervision across multi-site healthcare operations in the Eastern Cape.

Responsibilities:

• Manage staff rostering, scheduling, shift coverage, and resource allocation across sites.

• Standardize operational processes, procedures, and workflows across all regional facilities.

• Review and update operational manuals, job descriptions, and clinical policies.

• Enforce adherence to organizational policies, protocols, and best practices.

• Implement and monitor quality assurance and performance management tools.

• Raise incidents, log non-conformance reports, and oversee corrective action plans.

• Communicate and deploy relevant legislative, statutory, and regulatory updates.

• Deliver hands-on training facilitation, coaching, and clinical mentoring to nursing staff.

• Drive employee relations, resolve workplace conflicts, and support staff performance reviews.

• Champion operational excellence, integrity, and clinical quality across all teams.

• Professional Qualifications: Relevant nursing qualification (Diploma/Degree) and active professional registration with the nursing council.

• Leadership Experience: Proven supervisory or managerial experience in healthcare management.

• Dual-Environment Exposure: Background working across both laboratory and hospital settings.

• Core Competencies:

  • Multi-site operational planning and rostering.

  • Conflict resolution and labor relations management.

  • Quality audit, incident reporting, and policy governance.

  • Strong training, presentation, and coaching capabilities.

• Licensing & Mobility: Valid driver’s license and full willingness to travel extensively across the region.
