SUMMARY:
Our client, a leading Global manufacturing organisation, is seeking an experienced Production Planner to join their team on a fixed-term contract, ending 31 January 2027.  Reporting to the Planning Manager, you will be responsible for developing and managing production schedules to ensure customer demand, sales forecasts, and shipping requirements are met efficiently.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment where planning, optimisation, and stakeholder engagement are critical to success.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Key Requirements: Matric. Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management or related field. Minimum 3 years' production planning experience. Experience using planning systems such as Voyager, APO, ERP, or similar. Experience within the Pulp & Paper manufacturing industry will be advantageous. SAP experience, including Master Data and BOM maintenance. Advanced Excel skills. Key Responsibilities: Report to the Planning Manager: Daily planning and scheduling. Monitor and report on performance. Schedule stock for re-reeling activities. Maintain Master Data and Bills of Materials (BOMs). Participate in daily operational meetings. Optimise deckle efficiency and minimise material waste. Liaise with Production and Sales teams regarding order book requirements. Balance supply and demand to meet customer commitments. Act as the primary link between Production, Sales, and Customer Service. Provide production planning support afterhours and on weekends when required. Collaborate with vendors regarding M-Files enhancements and AI-driven capabilities. Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving abilities. Strong attention to detail. Excellent planning and organisational skills. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Effective communication and stakeholder management skills. Proactive and solutions-driven approach.
