POSITION INFO:
The role requires expertise in Java and Spring technologies, front-end development using Angular, and the development of cloud-native, API-driven, and distributed systems. The successful candidate will leverage modern engineering practices, Agile methodologies, and AI-assisted development tools to improve productivity, code quality, and solution delivery. Experience, Knowledge and Qualification: Relevant IT Degree or Diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field. Experience within financial services is advantageous Investment industry experience will be highly advantageous Intermediate Experience Level: 4-6 years of software development experience Strong experience with Java, Spring Boot, Angular, and API development Experience working with enterprise applications and integrated solutions Senior Level Experience Level: 10+ years of software development experience Proven experience designing and developing enterprise-scale applications, integrations, and microservices Experience leading technical initiatives, mentoring developers, and influencing solution design Experience in cloud-based and modern software engineering environments Technical Skills Core Technologies: Java Spring Boot Spring MVC Spring Data JPA Spring Security Hibernate Angular TypeScript RxJS HTML\/CSS\/JavaScript RESTful Services and APIs Microservices Architecture Integration & Messaging: REST and SOAP Web Services JMS IBM MQ AWS SQS XML and JSON Technologies Databases: Relational Databases (Oracle, PostgreSQL) MongoDB and NoSQL Databases JPA and Hibernate ORM Frameworks Tools & Platforms: Git \/ GitLab Gradle Jira Nexus SonarQube Jacoco Postman \/ SoapUI \/ Insomnia DataDog or similar monitoring tools Prometheus Micrometer WebSphere Application Server Extra: Design, develop, test, and maintain Java-based applications and services Build scalable microservices and distributed systems using Spring Boot and related frameworks Apply object-oriented analysis, design principles, and development patterns to build maintainable solutions Interpret UML diagrams and collaborate with architects, analysts, and development teams Develop and execute unit, integration, and automated tests Apply best practices for error handling, security, code quality, and performance optimisation Participate in CI\/CD and build management processes using tools such as Git and Gradle Agile delivery & collaboration
