- Working within Broker Distribution: Inland in the Insure business, this role supports Broker Consultants in processing sales transactions and managing broker portfolios within required company standards. You'll play an important role in supporting the attraction, development, and retention of profitable business while providing product support, maintaining strong broker relationships, and delivering efficient and effective customer service.

- 3 to 5 years' related Short-Term Insurance experience in a relevant or similar role.

Required Knowledge and Experience

- Minimum 5 to 6 years' Short-Term Insurance experience.
- Experience in team leadership will be advantageous.
- Strong knowledge of commercial short-term insurance products, cover structures, policy wordings, and rating mechanisms.
- Sound underwriting and risk assessment capabilities, including the ability to assess commercial risks and determine appropriate pricing, coverage, and risk acceptability.
- Experience managing the end-to-end quotation process, including pipeline tracking, quote preparation, and retention optimisation.
- The ability to identify risks requiring escalation and prepare well-motivated submissions for the Technical Underwriting Committee
- Strong data analysis and interpretation skills, with the ability to translate broker submissions, risk data, and underwriting information into sound decisions.
- Sound understanding of TCF principles, FAIS requirements, and internal governance standards applicable to underwriting and broker servicing.
- Proficiency in core insurance systems used for quoting, capturing, and tracking transactions.
- Strong operational and workflow management capabilities, with the ability to manage high-volume workloads and meet turnaround times.
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with the confidence to appropriately escalate risks and operational issues.
- High levels of accountability, attention to detail, professionalism, and integrity.

Educational Requirements
- Qualifications Matric
- NQF Level 4 Insurance qualification or equivalent will be advantageous.
- RE qualification will be advantageous.
