Tyre Bay Supervisor

Job Advert Summary

An opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Tyre Bay Supervisor, to monitor of tyre performance on vehicles, testing and comparing different brands and implementation of tyre recipes. Controls the tyre bay stock. Monitors tyre wear on prime movers and trailers and instructs on changing. Supervises and controls activities of Tyre Bay Assistants (tyre pressure, fitting of wheels and tyres, et cetera). Keeps tyre records up to date. Ensures that documentation, issue vouchers and invoices are processed and authorised daily.

• Oversees the day-to-day activities of the tyre bay area
• Managing a team of tyre technicians or fitters to ensure efficient and effective service delivery.
• Prepares tyre reports for management
• Controls the tyre bay stock.
• Monitors tyre wear on prime movers and trailers and instructs on changing.
• Supervises and controls activities of Tyre Bay Assistants (tyre pressure, fitting of wheels and tyres, et cetera).
• Keeps tyre records up to date.
• Ensures that documentation is well filled,
• Issue tyre requisition vouchers and ensure invoices are processed and authorised daily.
• Tyre stock count (daily, weekly & monthly)
• Receiving and issuing of tyres on the system (Evolve)
• Monitoring reorder levels
• Been on standby for issuing tyres from stock outside working hours, weekends and holidays
• Oversees the scrapping process
