Workshop Manager

About the Role

• We are seeking a Workshop Manager to oversee daily operations in our workshop, ensuring efficient production and high-quality output. This role focuses on managing resources, leading a diverse team, and implementing best practices to enhance productivity and safety within the workshop environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage all aspects of workshop operations, including scheduling, resource allocation, and inventory control.
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of workshop staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards and safety regulations, conducting regular audits and inspections.
• Develop and implement operational procedures to improve workflow and reduce inefficiencies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align production goals and support project requirements.
• Maintain and troubleshoot equipment, ensuring all machinery is in optimal working condition.
• Monitor performance metrics, providing reports and insights to management for continuous improvement.

Job Requirements

• Demonstrable experience in a workshop management role or similar environment.
• Strong leadership skills with a proven track record of building and managing effective teams.
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
• Proficient in using workshop machinery and tools, with a solid understanding of safety regulations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, capable of motivating staff and collaborating with various stakeholders.
• Familiarity with inventory management systems and production planning techniques.

Preferred Qualifications

• A degree or diploma in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
• Certification in safety management or risk assessment.
• 2+ Previous experience in a specific industry sector relevant to our operations (e.g., automotive).
