Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a Technology Resilience Lead that will be responsible for designing and driving the organization’s strategy to ensure critical technology services remain robust, secure, and recoverable in the face of disruptions. This role leads enterprise-wide resilience planning, including disaster recovery, business continuity alignment, and technology risk mitigation. It serves as the central point of accountability for resilience governance, partnering closely with technology, cybersecurity, and business leaders to embed resilience into architecture, operations, and strategic decision-making.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, or related field
- ISO 22301 Lead Implementer/Auditor advantageous
- CBCP (Certified Business Continuity Professional) advantageous
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of disaster recovery (DR) and continuity-of-operations capabilities
- Oversee resilience posture assessments and drive remediation plans across infrastructure, applications, and third-party technology providers
- Establish and manage crisis response and technology incident management processes in coordination with cybersecurity and business continuity stakeholders
- Ensure technology resilience requirements are embedded into architecture standards, change management, and system development lifecycles
- Partner with business units to validate recovery requirements, conduct impact analyses, and ensure alignment with critical business services
- Lead organization-wide resilience testing, simulation exercises, and after-action reviews
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure compliance with relevant resilience, operational risk, and cyber regulations
- Provide executive reporting that communicates resilience risks, readiness, trends, and performance metrics
- Cultivate a culture of resilience awareness through training, communications, and stakeholder engagement

Competencies
- Deep expertise in technology resilience, disaster recovery, and operational risk management.
- Strong understanding of modern IT architectures, cloud technologies, and cybersecurity principles.
- Ability to lead cross-functional programs and influence senior stakeholders.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate technical risk into business impact.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and crisis leadership capabilities.
- Experience with regulatory frameworks related to resilience (e.g., DORA, NIST, ISO 22301).
Key Performance Indicators
- Critical services meeting defined recovery time and recovery point objectives (RTO/RPO) – incl. Classification to Tiering
- Completion rate and performance outcomes of resilience tests, exercises, and remediation actions
- Reduction in resilience-related risks, incidents, and recovery gaps over time
- Contribution to culture, accountability, engagement, and continuous improvement
