Technical Sales Representative (Foundry)

• Our client in the foundry sector is looking for a Technical Sales Representative to be based in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate must have previous experience working within a foundry environment, a sound understanding of the industry and the ability to develop new business while maintaining strong relationships with existing customers.

Minimum Qualifications

• Matric certificate with Engineering Drawing as a subject.
• Previous sales experience, preferably in a technical or industrial environment.
• Must have previous experience working in a foundry environment.
• A foundry-related trade qualification would be advantageous.
• Good attendance record, punctuality and willingness to travel extensively.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and secure new business opportunities across the agricultural, sugar, mining, electricity, gas, water and related industries.
• Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to grow sales and expand market presence.
• Travel extensively to visit clients, understand their requirements and identify opportunities for additional business.
• Act as the technical liaison between the foundry and its clients, ensuring requirements are clearly communicated.
• Assist with preparing quotations for new jobs, working with the relevant teams to establish customer requirements.
• Follow up on sales opportunities and customer enquiries to support business growth and maintain high levels of customer service.
