A dynamic organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its finance team based in Johannesburg East. This role offers exposure to cross-border taxation, international compliance requirements, and stakeholder engagement across French-speaking African operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing monthly and annual tax submissions while ensuring compliance with local tax regulations across several African territories. Key Responsibilities Manage monthly and annual tax submissions across French-speaking African countries. Ensure compliance with local tax legislation and reporting requirements. Prepare and review tax calculations, reconciliations, and supporting schedules. Liaise with external advisors, tax authorities, and internal stakeholders. Assist with tax audits and regulatory queries. Monitor changes in relevant tax legislation and assess business impact. Prepare tax reports and compliance documentation for management. Support finance teams with tax-related guidance and best practices. Job Experience and Skills Required Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or related field. 3-5 years of relevant tax accounting experience. Strong experience with tax compliance, tax submissions, and reconciliations. Fluency in French and English is essential due to the nature of stakeholder engagement across French-speaking African regions. Experience working with multinational or African tax environments will be advantageous. Strong reporting and analytical skills. Ability to work independently and manage multiple compliance deadlines.
