VACANCY | STOREROOM MANAGER – AUTOMOTIVE PARTS
TechBridge Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a well-established organisation in the automotive aftermarket sector for an experienced Storeroom Manager.
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
We are looking for a hands-on Storeroom Manager who understands automotive parts, stock accuracy and warehouse operations.
You will take ownership of the day-to-day storeroom and warehouse operation, ensuring the right stock is available at the right time, inventory is accurately controlled, and the warehouse team operates efficiently.
POSITION INFO:
WHAT WE WANT - Grade 12 \/ Matric - 4-6 years' stock control experience specifically within the automotive parts industry - Previous experience managing a storeroom or warehouse in an automotive parts environment - Strong knowledge of automotive parts inventory and stock control - Experience managing min\/max stock levels, stock rotation and replenishment - Proven cycle counting, stock-taking and variance investigation experience - Experience supervising warehouse personnel and delivery drivers - Supplier delivery and stock replenishment coordination experience - Experience working on warehouse\/inventory management systems - Strong leadership, planning and organisational skills - Excellent attention to detail and stock accuracy - Valid driver's licence advantageous WHAT WE DON'T WANT - General warehouse experience with no automotive parts exposure - Candidates without hands-on stock control experience - Pure logistics\/transport experience without inventory responsibility - Supervisors who have managed people but have not personally managed stock accuracy, stock takes and variances - Candidates unfamiliar with min\/max stock planning and replenishment - Managers looking for a purely administrative role, this is a hands-on operational position KEY RESPONSIBILITIES - Manage the daily operations of the storeroom and warehouse - Oversee the receiving, storage, picking and dispatch of automotive parts - Maintain accurate minimum and maximum stock levels - Ensure product availability while minimising excess inventory - Conduct cycle counts and stock takes - Investigate and resolve stock variances - Maintain inventory accuracy through effective stock-control processes - Supervise warehouse staff and delivery drivers - Coordinate supplier deliveries and ensure timely receipt of stock - Manage stock replenishment requirements - Liaise with suppliers and internal departments - Ensure health & safety compliance and warehouse best practices - Drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency THE PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR You are hands-on, organised, analytical and detail-driven .
