Stock Controller: Packaging - Nasrec - R16 000 - R18 000 An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Stock Controller to manage packaging and consumables stock movement . About Our Client Our client operates a manufacturing facility based in Nasrec . They are involved in the food manufacturing sector . The Role: Stock Controller: Packaging The Stock Controller: Packaging is responsible for managing both packaging and consumables stock movement on the site . The position works with an extended team to resolve stock variances, ensures accurate and timeous processing of warehouse transfers through the IBT clerk, counts stock utilizing scanners, and captures correct data on SAGE . Key Responsibilities Possess a minimum of 2-3 years stock controlling experience in a manufacturing environment . Provide accurate packaging stock counts for the site to production planning and site procurement, and capture daily packaging and consumables requisitions and issues on SAGE . Reconcile daily physical counts with items issued to production and returned to the packaging warehouse, checking variances with the Packing Plant and Packaging Warehouse Supervisor . Perform random daily spot cycle counts in the packaging warehouse, verify counts against SAGE, and ensure damaged or non-conforming material is transferred to the SAGE damages warehouse with Quality . Assist the receiving department with queries regarding sufficient stock on SAGE for Inter Branch Transfers (IBTs) and manage the issuing and receiving of IBTs . Reconcile month-end counts, perform variance analysis, submit stock loss and gain reports, and submit the returns Excel schedule per incident . Supervise the IBT clerk reporting directly to this position . About You Grade 12 qualification . Minimum 2-3 years manufacturing experience with 2-3 years stock controlling experience . Background in FMCG, manufacturing, factory, or food manufacturing environments . Understanding of LIFO, FIFO, and FEFO principles . Essential stock controlling experience with good knowledge of SAGE Pastel and intermediate Excel skills . Ability to work in a team independently, attention to detail, assertiveness, diplomacy, initiative, tolerance of stress, creativity, proactivity, deadline-driven, able to interact at middle management level, plan ahead, manage time, and prioritize .
