Our client is seeking a qualified and professional Sonographer to join our established radiology practice in Bloemfontein . Minimum requirements Matric Qualification in Bachelor of Science in Diagnostic Ultrasound, Bachelor of Diagnostic Ultrasound or Bachelor of Health Sciences HPCSA registration certificate Minimum of 5 - 9 years' experience within industry Fluent in English and Afrikaans Valid driver's license and own vehicle or reliable transport Ability to work under pressure in a busy clinical environment Adaptable and willing to participate in continuous professional development Skills required Clinical and technical skills Patient care skills Ability to reassure and communicate effectively with anxious or vulnerable patients Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills Sensitivity when dealing with patients from diverse backgrounds Administrative and organisational skills Professional, dependable, and self-motivated High level of accuracy and attention to detail Strong verbal and written communication skills Positive team player with a collaborative approach Duties and responsibilities Perform general ultrasound examinations, including abdominal, gynaecological, small parts and neonatal brain ultrasound examinations Assist with interventional procedures by providing the necessary support during examinations and procedures Perform limited vascular studies, primarily DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) studies Perform MSK (Musculoskeletal) ultrasound examinations Perform pregnancy-related ultrasound examinations up to 12 weeks of gestational age Work under supervision during the reporting process, with the Radiologist dictating and finalising the reports Remuneration R 60 674 basic per month, depending on experience IMPORTANT: Applications close 23 October 2026 If you did not receive feedback within 14 days, please consider your application unsuccessful Only applications submitted via the Ditto Jobs platform will be considered Only candidates who meet all our client's minimum requirements will be contacted
