Solution Architect / Engineer – ICT Infrastructure (RCDD)

SUMMARY:
An established technical infrastructure solutions provider is seeking an experienced Solution Architect / Engineer to join its team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and designing technical infrastructure solutions, with a particular focus on structured cabling, data centre infrastructure and integrated ICT systems. This role requires a technically strong professional who can translate client requirements into practical, cost-effective and technically sound solutions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in ICT infrastructure design, a strong understanding of industry standards and a recognised RCDD qualification.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Design and develop technical solutions for data centre and ICT infrastructure projects. Develop structured cabling designs, including fibre-optic and copper cabling infrastructure. Provide technical expertise on data centre infrastructure, network connectivity and integrated systems. Interpret client requirements and translate them into detailed technical solutions and specifications. Prepare technical drawings, layouts, specifications, bills of quantities (BOQs) and design documentation. Ensure all designs comply with relevant industry standards, regulations and best practices. Evaluate technical solutions, products and equipment to ensure suitability and compliance with project requirements. Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers and internal project teams. Provide technical support during tendering, costing, installation and project implementation. Conduct technical reviews and ensure design integrity throughout the project lifecycle. Assist with technical presentations and client engagements where required. Keep up to date with industry developments, technologies and infrastructure design standards. Requirements: Relevant qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunications, Information Technology or a related technical discipline. RCDD (Registered Communications Distribution Designer) certification - essential. Proven experience in ICT infrastructure and structured cabling design. Strong technical knowledge of: Structured cabling systems (fibre-optic and copper). Data centre infrastructure and connectivity. Telecommunications and network infrastructure. ICT infrastructure design and integration.
