Senior Reinforcement Detailer

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Reinforcement Detailer to join an established consulting engineering environment. The successful candidate will play a key role in leading and coordinating the reinforcement detailing team, ensuring high standards of technical accuracy, quality and drawing delivery across a variety of projects.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Lead, coordinate and oversee the reinforcement detailing team Produce and review accurate, construction-ready reinforcement drawings using PADDS Reinforcement Detailing Ensure reinforcement drawings comply with relevant SANS codes and standards Interpret structural engineering drawings, specifications and design information Coordinate with structural engineers, BIM technicians, architects and other project team members Review drawings for accuracy, constructability and compliance with design requirements Manage workloads, prioritise deliverables and ensure project deadlines are met Identify and resolve technical detailing issues Train, mentor and develop junior reinforcement detailers Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years' experience in structural reinforcement detailing Proven proficiency in PADDS Reinforcement Detailing Good working knowledge of relevant SANS codes and standards Sound understanding of reinforced concrete construction and detailing principles Ability to read and interpret structural engineering drawings and specifications Experience reviewing reinforcement drawings and checking the work of other detailers Strong leadership, organisational and communication skills Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines Previous senior or supervisory detailing experience advantageous Qualification: Drafting Certificate If you have strong reinforcement detailing experience, are confident using PADDS and have the ability to lead and develop a detailing team, we would love to hear from you.
