Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Technologist

SUMMARY:
An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced Civil Engineer / Civil Engineering Technologist to join a professional consulting engineering environment.
 
The role will focus on building civil engineering, bulk earthworks, stormwater management and external infrastructure design.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Civil engineering design for building and property development projects Bulk earthworks design, modelling and cut-and-fill optimisation Stormwater management plans and drainage design Roads, access, parking and associated external works Water and sewer reticulation design Preparation of civil engineering drawings, details and specifications Compilation of design reports, calculations and technical documentation Coordination of civil works with other engineering disciplines Liaising with clients, architects, contractors, local authorities and consultants Assisting with tender documentation and technical evaluations Conducting site inspections and providing construction-stage support Skills & Experience: Minimum 5 years' relevant consulting engineering experience Strong experience in building civil engineering and property developments Good working knowledge of stormwater master plans and stormwater management systems Strong practical experience in bulk earthworks design and optimisation Understanding of stormwater, sewer and water reticulation systems Experience with roads, parking areas and site development works Proficiency in Revit and BIM workflows Ability to produce and interpret civil engineering drawings and technical documentation Knowledge of relevant South African standards and municipal requirements Strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills Qualification: BEng / BSc Eng / BTech or equivalent qualification in Civil Engineering Advantageous: Experience with Civil 3D or other civil engineering design software Professional registration with ECSA or progress towards professional registration Experience with large-scale residential, mixed-use, hospitality or high-end building projects If you have not had any response in two weeks, please consider the vacancy application unsuccessful.
