Senior Database Administrator (SQL Server | Azure | Informix) (iOCOOO181)

We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator to join our team and take ownership of our database environments across on-premise, hybrid, and cloud platforms. This is an exciting opportunity for a hands-on DBA with strong leadership capability and deep expertise in SQL Server, Microsoft Azure, and IBM Informix.

What you'll do:

• Administer, monitor, optimize, and support SQL Server, Azure, and Informix database environments.
• Manage database availability, performance, security, backup, recovery, and disaster recovery processes.
• Lead database cloud migration and modernization initiatives.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex database issues in production environments.
• Implement and maintain high-availability solutions and database monitoring.
• Drive database best practices, governance, and security standards.
• Mentor and support junior DBAs and act as a senior escalation point for database-related incidents.

Your Expertise:

• 7+ years' DBA experience, with at least 3 years in a senior-level role.
• Strong administration experience with:
• Microsoft SQL Server
• Microsoft Azure SQL Services (Azure SQL Database, Managed Instance, Azure VMs)
• IBM Informix
• Experience managing on-premise, hybrid, and cloud database environments.
• Strong skills in performance tuning, security, backup & recovery, high availability, and disaster recovery.
• Experience with T-SQL and database automation/scripting.
• Proven ability to mentor junior team members and lead technical initiatives.

• Relevant Bachelor's Degree in IT, Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field – non negotiable
• Relevant Microsoft Azure Certification (e.g. AZ-104, AZ-305, DP-300) – non negotiable
• Microsoft SQL Server certification – non negotiable

Advantageous Skills

• AWS database administration exposure.
• Experience with MySQL, PostgreSQL, Db2, or NoSQL databases.
• Azure DevOps, Terraform, CI/CD, and Infrastructure-as-Code experience.
• Exposure to data platforms such as SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, Azure Data Factory, or Data Warehousing.
