Founded on compelling founder-led content and a strong organic social media presence, the agency works directly with business owners and senior executives to develop their brands. The agency operates through an agile, entrepreneurial structure supported by trusted freelance and retainer specialists. Its commercial approach is built around inbound enquiries generated through social media, with a focus on consultative sales and relationship-driven client engagements. As the agency expands its commercial footprint, it is strengthening its sales capabilities to support client acquisition, account growth and the development of ongoing retainer relationships. THE ROLE: SENIOR BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT REPRESENTATIVE (SENIOR BDR) The Senior Business Development Representative will take ownership of commercial sales conversations, managing primarily warm inbound leads generated through the agency''s established social media presence. Unlike traditional high-volume outbound sales positions, this role focuses on consultative selling, building relationships with founders and executive decision-makers, and converting established brand trust into high-value client engagements. The successful candidate will independently manage the full sales cycle, from discovery and closing branding packages valued between £3,000 and £20,000 to ongoing account management, upselling and converting project-based clients into long-term retainers. The position requires a senior sales professional capable of operating autonomously within a lean, fast-scaling agency environment, with targeted LinkedIn outbound prospecting supporting pipeline development during quieter inbound periods. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Manage warm inbound leads as the primary consultative sales representative, conducting discovery conversations and closing branding packages valued between £3,000 and £20,000. Build authentic, trust-based relationships with founders, business owners and executive clients through personalised sales conversations without relying on rigid scripts or high-pressure tactics. Translate the agency founder''s personal brand credibility into tailored, consultative solutions aligned with prospective client requirements. Manage the complete sales cycle, from initial engagement and discovery through to closing and ongoing client relationship management. Drive account growth by identifying and securing upselling opportunities and expanding existing client contracts. Convert project-based client engagements into ongoing, long-term retainer agreements. Conduct targeted outbound prospecting through LinkedIn during slower inbound periods to maintain a consistent sales pipeline. Take ownership of commercial sales execution, demonstrating autonomy and entrepreneurial initiative within a lean, expanding agency environment. ABOUT YOU Extensive senior-level B2B consultative sales experience, including independently managing and closing deals with founders, C-suite executives and business owners. Verifiable track record of selling intangible branding or marketing services directly to founders, with experience in offerings such as branding, creative strategy, social media or marketing agency services. Demonstrated ability to manage and successfully close deals valued between £3,000 and £20,000. Proven ability to operate independently with minimal supervision, taking ownership of senior-level commercial sales conversations rather than functioning solely as a junior lead generator. Strong understanding of and passion for branding, social media marketing and creative agency services. Natural conversational ability, with the confidence to adapt consultative sales discussions dynamically without relying on static scripts. End-to-end client relationship management capabilities, including contract expansion, upselling and converting project clients into ongoing retainers. High levels of self-direction, discipline and emotional intelligence. Ability to consistently work Monday to Friday, 2:00 PM-10:00 PM SAST, supporting collaboration across UK and US time zones. Must be based in South Africa, with the position focused on Cape Town-based candidates. Willingness to accept a six-month probation period. Strong LinkedIn outbound prospecting capabilities would be advantageous. WORKING ARRANGEMENT & BENEFITS Location: Remote, South Africa, with a focus on Cape Town. Working arrangement: 100% remote.
