The business works with marketing leaders, CMOs and Heads of Marketing at mid-market companies, with relationship-driven sales cycles around the £100k mark. The team consists of senior professionals working collaboratively across leadership and engineering, with a focus on solution selling, technical sales campaigns and the use of AI-driven sales enablement tools. THE ROLE: SENIOR BDR \/ BDM The Senior BDR \/ BDM will drive outbound lead generation and pipeline growth, operating as a true hunter responsible for independently generating opportunities without relying on pre-qualified handoffs. The role focuses on consultative solution selling, identifying client pain points, positioning complex solutions and developing strategic sales narratives rather than using rigid or templated pitches. You will own multi-channel outbound activity across LinkedIn, phone, email, voice notes and video snippets, while working closely with leadership, C-suite stakeholders and cross-functional engineering teams to develop business cases and validate technical sales campaigns. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Drive outbound lead generation and pipeline growth. Independently identify and generate new business opportunities without relying on pre-qualified handoffs. Run a structured, predominantly LinkedIn-led outbound prospecting process. Prospect and personalise outreach around relevant business triggers, including companies outgrowing their existing platforms. Conduct multi-channel cold outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, voice notes and video snippets. Identify client pain points and position complex technical solutions. Develop strategic sales narratives rather than relying on rigid or templated pitches. Sell consultative, project-based digital work into marketing leaders, CMOs and Heads of Marketing at mid-market companies. Manage relationship-driven sales cycles around the £100k mark rather than high-volume transactional deals. Work closely with leadership and cross-functional engineering teams to build business cases. Validate technical sales campaigns. Explore and use AI-driven sales enablement tools to optimise outreach strategy. Work closely alongside C-suite stakeholders as part of a very small team. ABOUT YOU Proven senior-level experience as a BDR\/BDM within software design\/development agencies or technical sales. Proven track record in outbound lead generation, supported by case studies and numbers. Senior-level hunter mentality, with the ability to generate leads independently without pre-qualified handoffs. Experience selling consultative, project-based digital work, ideally within agency, web\/product development or martech environments. Experience selling into marketing leaders, CMOs and Heads of Marketing at mid-market companies. Experience managing relationship-driven sales cycles around the £100k mark rather than high-volume transactional deals. Strategic solution-selling capability with a track record of independent lead generation. Technical knowledge of CMS platforms, specifically Sanity. Technical comprehension of headless architecture and modern web architecture. Knowledge of modern web development technologies, including React and Next.js. High proficiency in AI tools, including OpenAI and Claude, for sales enablement and campaign optimisation. Demonstrated mastery of multi-channel cold outreach across phone, email, LinkedIn, video and voice notes. Ability to independently run a structured, predominantly LinkedIn-led outbound process. Ability to personalise prospecting and outreach around genuine business triggers rather than templated pitching. Ability to work as part of a very small team and closely alongside C-suite stakeholders. Ability to work UK-aligned hours from the office in Cape Town. There is room to progress into roles such as Sales Director or Head of Growth based on results. NOTICE PERIOD 1 week during the first 6 months. 2 weeks after 6 months. 1 month after 1 year.
