Job Title: Stores Sales Assistant
Department: Retail / Stores
Location: Woodmead , Gauteng

Salary: R48.42 per hour

About Us

We are looking for a responsible and experienced Stores Supervisor to oversee daily store operations in Gauteng. The successful candidate will supervise staff, maintain stock control, ensure excellent customer service, and support the overall performance of the store.

Responsibilities

Supervise daily store operations, manage staff, assist with scheduling, and train new employees.
Monitor stock levels, conduct stock counts, manage replenishment, and ensure accurate cash-ups and banking procedures.
Maintain customer service, store cleanliness, merchandising standards, and compliance with company policies while supporting sales targets.

Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric.
Retail experience, preferably in a supermarket, food, spice, or FMCG environment.
Previous supervisory or team leader experience.
Strong cash-handling skills and knowledge of POS systems.
Computer literacy, including Microsoft Office and retail systems.
Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Ability to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
Reliable transport to and from work.
Clear criminal record.
Physically fit and able to assist with stock handling when required.

Strong leadership and people management skills.
Good organisational, planning, and problem-solving skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced retail environment.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Honest, trustworthy, and dependable.
Customer-focused, with the ability to multitask and prioritise.

Preferred Experience

Experience in a spice, food, grocery, or specialty retail store.
Knowledge of spices, herbs, seasonings, and related products.
Experience with stock control and ordering processes.
Basic understanding of retail sales.

What is on Offer

Hourly rate of R48.42.
Opportunity to gain or build on supervisory experience in a retail environment.
