The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying potential risks, implementing preventative measures, monitoring workplace safety, and ensuring compliance with health and safety standards. Minimum Requirements National Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification at NQF Level 4. SAMTRAC or NEBOSH certification. Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Safety Officer, with 4 years' experience preferred. Valid South African driver's licence and own reliable transport. HIRA certification. Advantageous Qualifications and Requirements: Level 3 Incident Investigation Certificate. Fall Protection Planner Certificate. SACPCMP registration. Valid passport. Key Responsibilities Conduct risk assessments and recommend appropriate preventative measures. Verify that tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use. Monitor and assess hazardous conditions and unsafe situations. Maintain awareness of potential risks and developing safety concerns. Ensure the preparation and implementation of the Safety and Health Plan. Provide after-hours standby support as and when required.
