RSA / Non-Qualified Workshop Technician – Hillcrest

Job Overview

• A well-established motor dealership in Hillcrest is seeking an experienced RSA / Workshop Assistant with previous automotive workshop experience.
• This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on, non-trade-tested technician who has practical experience working in a motor dealership service environment.
• The successful candidate will assist with pre-delivery inspections (PDIs), radio and accessory fitments, vehicle preparation and general workshop duties.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle pre-delivery inspections.
• Fit radios and approved vehicle accessories.
• Assist with basic vehicle preparation and maintenance.
• Support qualified Technicians with workshop duties.
• Perform general vehicle checks and inspections.
• Maintain workshop cleanliness and safety standards.

Minimum Requirements

• Previous automotive workshop or motor dealership service experience is essential.
• Practical mechanical knowledge.
• Experience with vehicle PDIs advantageous.
• Experience fitting radios and vehicle accessories beneficial.
• Ability to perform basic workshop tasks.
• Reliable, hardworking and detail-oriented.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with qualified Technicians.
• Formal Motor Mechanic trade qualification is not required.

Salary & Benefits 

• R10,000 – R11,000 per month, negotiable depending on experience.
