POSITION INFO:
Company and Job Description: An established industrial organisation operating within the manufacturing and mining value chain is looking for a commercially minded Pricing Analyst to join its team in JHB East. This role will focus on pricing analysis, cost structures and commercial decision-making, while working closely with suppliers and internal stakeholders to optimise margins and pricing outcomes. Key Responsibilities: Analyse pricing structures and product profitability Develop and maintain pricing models and pricing frameworks Analyse key cost drivers impacting product pricing Perform cost and margin analysis Review pricing trends and identify opportunities for margin improvement Analyse raw material, production and supplier cost movements Support pricing decisions through detailed financial analysis Prepare pricing reports and management insights Monitor actual pricing against budgets and expectations Engage with suppliers regarding pricing and cost movements Support supplier negotiations through data-driven analysis Identify opportunities to improve cost efficiency and profitability Collaborate with finance, procurement, sales and operational teams Assist with scenario modelling and commercial decision-making Job Experience and Skills Required: Qualification: Degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business or related field Experience: Minimum 5 years' relevant experience Pricing and costing experience essential Manufacturing or mining experience essential Strong exposure to cost-driver analysis Supplier negotiation experience advantageous Commercial finance or financial analysis experience Technical Skills: Pricing analysis Costing Cost-driver analysis Margin analysis Financial modelling Advanced Excel ERP\/accounting systems The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for someone who is: Commercially minded and analytical Strong with numbers and financial modelling Confident challenging pricing assumptions Detail-oriented and accurate Comfortable working with operational and commercial stakeholders Strong in supplier engagement Proactive and solutions-oriented Able to translate complex cost information into practical insights Why consider this opportunity?
