Physiotherapist

Requirements:

• Matric plus an appropriate qualification in Physiotherapy that allows registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa HPCSA) in Physiotherapy. Current registration with HPCSA.
• Grade 1: None after registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy
• Grade 2: A minimum of 10 years experience after registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy
• Grade 3: A minimum of 20 years experience after registration with the HPCSA in Physiotherapy Registration with the Health Professional Council of South Africa HPCSA) in Physiotherapy. Current registration with HPCSA for 2026/2027.

Knowledge and Skills:

• Medicines and related substances Act, Allied Health Professions Act, Occupational Health and Safety Act. Public Service Act, National Health Act, Public Service Regulation 2016, as amended.
• Planning and organising, analytical skills, problem solving, negotiation skills, influencing skills and computer literacy.

Duties:

• Explain procedures to patients. Prepare patient for treatment. Interpret clinical history of patients to determine the correct procedure.
• Practical training and evaluation of student. Check/test physiotherapy equipment and report faults . Apply reject analysis . Adhere to policies and protocols.
