Paint & Preparation Assistant

An opportunity is available for a Paint & Preparation Assistant to join a busy automotive panel shop. The successful candidate will assist with preparing vehicles for painting, including sanding, masking, priming, cleaning and degreasing panels, as well as removing and refitting vehicle trim and fittings. Duties will also include assisting painters with spray booth preparation, colour sanding, polishing and buffing.
The ideal candidate will have good attention to detail, a strong work ethic and the ability to work well within a team. Previous experience in automotive painting or panel beating preparation will be an advantage, but training will be provided to the right candidate. The successful applicant must be willing to learn, follow safety procedures, maintain a clean working environment and ensure quality workmanship.

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Previous automotive paint preparation experience will be an advantage. Basic knowledge of sanding, masking and priming is beneficial. Good attention to detail and commitment to quality. Good teamwork and communication skills. Ability to work with chemicals and perform physically demanding tasks. Valid driver's licence will be an advantage.
