Dis-Chem Pharmacies has an opportunity available for a National IT Operations Lead that will be responsible for management, maintenance, and support of end-user and on-premises infrastructure at stores, distribution centers, and offices. This includes laptops, routers, POS terminals, Wi-Fi devices, and in-store systems. The role ensures reliable on-site technology operations and supports new store rollouts.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in information technology or related
- 7+ years’ experience in IT operations, preferably in retail or distribution environments.
- Experience managing regional or field support
Responsibilities
Operations and support:
- Oversee regional IT operations teams supporting store and DC
- Ensure incident, request, and problem management processes are followed with clear SLAs.
- Coordinate hardware lifecycle management, including procurement, deployment, and asset tracking.
New store and change delivery:
- Work with Retail Platforms and Infrastructure tribes to deliver IT components for new stores and refurbishments.
- Ensure site readiness for network, POS, and end-user devices before
- Support major roll-outs and upgrades (e.g., POS refresh, network changes) in stores and DCs.
Governance and collaboration:
- Enforce security and access control policies for end-user devices and local
- Provide operational input into infrastructure and platform design
- Manage third-party field services providers where used

- Strong understanding of store and DC IT operations and
- Hands-on approach to service delivery with focus on responsiveness and
- Ability to coordinate multiple regional teams and external

- Set performance expectations and conduct performance reviews

Key Performance Indicators:
- Store and DC incident rates and resolution
- On-time IT readiness for new stores and
