SUMMARY:
Job Title: Mining Assistant (Underground Platinum Mine)
Location: Lydenburg, Mpumalanga

Job Overview:
Support miners, team leaders and operators underground with the practical tasks that keep the section running safely.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Grade 10 or higher, or relevant underground experience. At least 1 to 2 years' underground experience, ideally in platinum mining. Physically fit and able to work in underground conditions. Valid Certificate of Fitness. Advantageous: Underground training certificates; experience in both conventional and trackless sections; a willingness to develop into an operator or Miner. Key Responsibilities: Assist with drilling, support installation, charging and cleaning as directed. Carry and set up tools, equipment and consumables. Help keep the working place clean, safe and in good order. Follow safety rules, and report hazards and incidents. Learn the tasks of the crew so you can take on more over time.
