A leading engineering firm specializing in high-speed FMCG machinery is looking for a mid-level Mechanical Designer to join their technical team. In this role, you won''t just be tweaking old drawings-you will own the full design process from the initial concept brief straight through to fabrication and commissioning support. Key Responsibilities Full-Lifecycle Design: Own the design process from concept brief to final product, creating detailed 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using Autodesk Inventor. Data & BOM Management: Maintain complex assemblies, revisions, and precise Bills of Materials (BOMs) within Autodesk VAULT. Innovation & Improvement: Assist with prototype testing, resolve manufacturing hurdles, and suggest upgrades to improve machine uptime and efficiency. Collaboration: Partner with electrical engineers, production teams, and clients to translate complex requirements into buildable, high-performance designs. Compliance: Ensure all machinery designs meet strict safety, quality, and industry regulatory standards. Requirements Education: Relevant Mechanical Engineering qualification, diploma, or degree. Experience: 2-5 years of dedicated experience designing industrial or FMCG machinery. Technical Skills: Proficient in Autodesk Inventor and VAULT. Strong knowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing), material selection, and fabrication processes. Mindset: A collaborative team player with a sharp, analytical problem-solving mindset.
