Mechanic: Static Plant

This role assists the technician in installing and maintaining mechanical plant and equipment, and associated machinery to maximize available plant and equipment. The role also carries out first line maintenance and routine inspection of plant equipment and compiles inspection reports.

Required Knowledge/Skills/Competencies:

• Basic understanding of mechanical maintenance techniques and practices, including repair, installation, and maintenance of mechanical equipment and machinery
• Knowledge of and adherence to safety procedures and regulations  related to mechanical maintenance, ensuring a safe working environment for self and others.
• Skill in performing routine mechanical maintenance tasks and minor repairs on mechanical systems and equipment.
• Knowledge of and commitment to adhering to established SHEQ procedures, promoting a culture of safety and well-being among team members
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.

Education:

• Grade 1 Trade Test Certificate in Mechanical discipline.
• IGSCE Certificate or equivalent qualification.
