Unlock Your Potential! We’re looking for a passionate Laboratory Technician to join our NBL Isando Biscuits in Kempton Park, Gauteng. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring quality and safety in food production.

 

Line Manager: Laboratory Supervisor

Job Specification:

Key Performance Areas:

  • Conduct physical and chemical analysis on raw materials, packaging, in-process, and finished products.
  • Verify Certificates of Analysis (COA) and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Maintain and calibrate laboratory equipment to meet ISO 17025
  • Manage Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and ensure effective resolution.
  • Perform Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) audits and support FSSC 22000
  • Train Quality Assurance Technicians (QATs) on laboratory procedures and hygiene inspections.
  • Participate in process control, troubleshooting quality issues with multidisciplinary teams.

What It Takes to Succeed:

Experience that set you up for success:                       

  • Minimum 2 years' experience in FMCG, preferably in the baking and packaging industries.

Qualifications & Certifications that will contribute to your success:

  • Diploma in Food Technology or equivalent qualification.

Additional Requirements that will enhance your impact for success:

  • Knowledge of ISO 17025, HACCP, GMP, and GLP.
  • Experience using SAP and working with AIB (Food Safety) Standards.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving ability.
