POSITION INFO:
Position Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior CAD / Technical Draughtsman to join our team in Durban. This role is ideally suited for a recent graduate who holds a formal CAD qualification and is eager to kickstart their career in technical drawing and design. As a Junior Draughtsman, you will work closely with senior designers and engineers, learning industry standards while assisting in the creation, revision, and preparation of accurate technical drawings and plans. Key Responsibilities Technical Drawing: Prepare detailed 2D and/or 3D CAD drawings, layouts, schematics, and blueprints according to project specs and standards. Drafting Support: Assist senior draughtsmen and technical teams with drawing revisions, redlines, and layout modifications. Documentation & Archiving: Help maintain, organize, and archive drawing files, technical documentation, and project registers. Site & Project Coordination: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather measurements, specifications, and project requirements. Quality Assurance: Ensure all output complies with relevant industry standards, company drawing conventions, and quality guidelines. Minimum Requirements Education: Formal qualification in CAD, Drafting, Draughting Technology, or a related technical discipline (Diploma, NATED Certificate, or equivalent certification). Experience: Open to recent graduates or individuals with 0-2 years of relevant experience. Technical Skills: Proficiency in AutoCAD (or equivalent CAD software suites such as SolidWorks, Revit, or MicroStation). Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to Durban .
