Job Description

SUMMARY:

T HELPDESK TECHNICIAN

Location: Motor Retail Head Office, Milnerton, Cape Town

We are seeking an experienced and technically capable IT Helpdesk Technician to provide day-to-day IT support to head office and dealership staff. The successful candidate will be responsible for resolving IT queries, troubleshooting hardware and software issues, assisting with user onboarding and PC setup, and maintaining accurate IT asset records.

Responsibilities

Receive, log and resolve IT support requests.
Troubleshoot hardware, software, printer and connectivity issues.
Create user accounts and assist with onboarding new employees.
Set up and configure PCs, software and peripherals.
Maintain IT asset registers, including equipment allocations and returns.
Provide basic Keyloop support and escalate complex issues where required.
Track outstanding support requests and keep users updated.
Maintain accurate records of IT issues, solutions and equipment.

POSITION INFO:
Minimum Requirements: Matric certificate. Relevant IT trade certificate. Code 2 driver's licence. Previous IT Helpdesk\/Desktop Support experience. Experience with user account creation and PC setup. Basic Keyloop knowledge or experience. Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Strong technical, problem-solving and communication skills. Ability to work effectively within a team.
