SUMMARY:
We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to manage international freight shipments from the point a confirmed booking is handed over by Sales through to final delivery, invoicing and file closure.

POSITION INFO:
PURPOSE OF JOB We are looking for an experienced Operations Coordinator to manage international freight shipments from the point a confirmed booking is handed over by Sales through to final delivery, invoicing and file closure. You will handle both imports and exports across sea FCL, sea LCL, air freight and road freight. This is an end-to-end operational role, not a tracking or administrative position. We need someone who can take ownership of their shipment files, communicate proactively with clients and suppliers, solve operational problems independently, and work without constant supervision or micromanagement. Key Responsibilities Manage import and export shipments end to end Arrange bookings, collections and final deliveries Prepare and check shipping and customs documentation Proactively manage clients, carriers, agents and shipment exceptions Manage accruals, supplier costs, invoicing, margin and file closure Qualifications & Experience Matric / National Senior Certificate Minimum 3 years freight forwarding or international moving operations experience Imports and exports experience FCL, LCL, air freight and road freight experience End-to-end shipment file ownership and direct client contact Key Skills & Competencies CargoWise or similar freight-management system experience Customs entry framing / SARS EDI experience International household moving experience Freight, customs or logistics qualification Afrikaans proficiency
