What you'll do

To monitor the daily progress of despatching activities and coordinate urgent unscheduled despatch requests, ensuring efficient logistics operations and timely delivery of services to clients. The Despatch Controller serves as a key link between operational teams, drivers, and clients, helping to ensure seamless despatch processes and exceptional service delivery.

• Hours of work: 42 Hours per week
• Work week: 7 Days (Including weekends and Public Holidays)
• Shift type: Day Shift

What You Will Do (Role Impact)

Coordinate Despatch Operations

• Monitor and coordinate daily despatch activities to ensure the optimal utilisation of drivers and resources.
• Manage urgent and unscheduled despatch requests efficiently to minimise service disruptions.

Support Operational Excellence

• Perform administrative duties to ensure all relevant documentation is accurate, complete, and readily accessible.
• Maintain accurate records and support day-to-day operational requirements.

Manage Liquid Nitrogen Deliveries

• Monitor and control the dispatching of Liquid Nitrogen requests to ensure timely and efficient delivery to clients.
• Track delivery schedules and proactively address any operational challenges.

Deliver Exceptional Client Service

• Build and maintain positive client relationships through professional and responsive communication.
• Promote the Ampath brand by providing reliable, customer-focused service and support.

What you'll bring

Qualifications

• Grade 12
• Valid South African Driver's Licence (Code EB and/or A)

Experience

• One year of experience of the despatching and controlling of drivers.

Skills and Knowledge

Communication Skills

• Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, drivers, and colleagues.

Numerical Reasoning Skills

• Ability to perform basic numerical calculations, including:
