ICT Engineer

SUMMARY:
A leading technology-driven organisation is looking for an experienced ICT Engineer to join its infrastructure team. This opportunity is ideal for a technology professional with a strong background in enterprise infrastructure, networking, virtualisation, and cybersecurity who is passionate about maintaining secure, scalable, and highly available ICT environments.  
The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting critical infrastructure platforms, driving operational improvements, and ensuring the performance, availability, and security of business-critical systems.

POSITION INFO:
Qualifications Relevant tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field Industry-recognised certifications advantageous Relevant infrastructure, networking, or systems administration certifications highly beneficial Requirements 5 to 7 years' experience in enterprise ICT infrastructure, networking, or systems administration roles Experience supporting MikroTik networking environments Experience administering Palo Alto firewalls Strong VMware vSphere experience Working knowledge of networking, virtualisation, security, storage, backup, and disaster recovery technologies Experience supporting multi-site infrastructure environments Strong troubleshooting, documentation, and problem-solving skills Key Performance Areas Administer, maintain, and support enterprise virtualisation and infrastructure platforms, including VMware vSphere Support and optimise networking environments, including routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and VLAN technologies Maintain and administer Palo Alto firewall environments and security controls Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimise infrastructure performance, availability, and security Support backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity initiatives Assist with infrastructure upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and optimisation projects Provide Level 2 and Level 3 technical support and escalation assistance across ICT environments Support cloud services, identity platforms, and externally facing systems Maintain accurate infrastructure documentation, standards, and operational procedures Identify and implement opportunities for automation and operational improvement Additional Information Permanent position On-site role with the possibility of a hybrid working arrangement after probation Comprehensive benefits package included Opportunity to work within a dynamic enterprise infrastructure environment Apply Now!
