SUMMARY:
Our client in the steel and manufacturing industry is seeking to employ a Human Resource Generalist to join their team based in Coega, Eastern Cape.
POSITION INFO:
Requirements: A NQL Level 6 qualification in HR Management, Labour Law or related fields. Must have at least 5 years working experience in a manufacturing environment. Have at least 2 years working experience on all the Microsoft Office packages. Responsibilities: Providing support in recruitment and selection process by developing job descriptions, screening resumes, conducting interviews, and providing guidance on selection criteria. Developing HR policies and procedures in line with relevant legislation and best practice to ensure compliance with the law, protect the interests of the organization, and foster a positive work culture. Developing and implementing performance management systems, including setting goals and objectives, conducting performance appraisals, and providing feedback and coaching to employees. Ensuring that the organization complies with employment legislation. Conducting compensation and benefits reviews and providing advice on best practice for payment structures to ensure that organizations remain competitive. Maintaining HR systems and databases, generating reports, and ensuring data accuracy. Preparation and participation in all Employment Equity duties and functions as well as compilation of annual EE report submissions and compilation of EE Plan. Assist in BBBEE audits and ensure that all relevant information is tracked and evaluated. General support to Employees and Management in all Human Resources related issues. Conducting general counselling for work related processes i.e. return to work interviews, absenteeism counselling. Take responsibility for all EAP initiatives on site to ensure employee motivation and wellbeing. Assist in ensuring the absenteeism policy is adhered to with consistent discipline, employee engagement and reporting. Development of new KPAs in conjunction with relevant HOD. Ensure each employee has a KPA and that it is current. Ensure that all monthly reporting is done timeously and efficiently. Supporting the HR Manager in all areas deemed appropriate and in accordance with departmental objectives.
