Job Description

Role Overview
Our client is seeking a highly competent South African national HSE Specialist Consultant for placement at their Johannesburg Service Center. In this role, you will take operational ownership of health, safety, and environmental controls to drive measurable performance improvements. You will ensure strict legal compliance and build critical safety behaviors across frontline personnel and site management.

Responsibilities

Implement, monitor, and oversee operational health and safety controls.
Execute risk assessments, site audits, and procedural compliance inspections.
Lead incident investigations, manage data analytics, and compile formal HSE reports.
Develop internal safety procedures and actively influence frontline personnel.

Key Requirements

Relevant degree in Health & Safety, Engineering, Public Health, or a technical discipline.
Internationally recognized HSE certification (NEBOSH, IOSH, NVQ Level 5/6, or equivalent).
5–7+ years of proven HSE experience within industrial, manufacturing, or service center environments.
Strong working knowledge of South African HSE legislation.
South African citizenship with a valid South African ID.
