  • Lead the labour relations strategy, significant union relationships and wage negotiations, including costed proposals and approved mandates. Direct responses to complex disputes and industrial action.
  • Build capability for operators, artisans and frontline leaders, addressing workforce issues affecting output, quality, safety, cost and reliability.
  • Lead talent, performance and succession planning across head office and factories, strengthening leadership depth and critical skills.
  • Lead the central HR team and provide functional direction to factory HR Managers. Drive organisation effectiveness, transformation, HR governance and consistent people practices.

What you will bring

  • At least ten years’ relevant HR experience in a management capacity in manufacturing, with substantial responsibility across multiple unionised factories.
  • Established experience operating as a business-unit HR Executive, contributing directly to executive decisions and business performance.
  • Deep practical experience leading union engagement, collective bargaining, wage negotiations, complex disputes and responses to industrial action.
  • A record of leading HR teams and influencing delivery through functional reporting relationships.
  • Demonstrated improvements in workforce capability, succession, performance and organisation effectiveness, supported by an understanding of labour costs and factory productivity.
  • A postgraduate qualification in Human Resources or Industrial Psychology, and relevant negotiation or dispute resolution certification, would be advantageous.

You will combine sound commercial judgement with the confidence to advise and challenge senior leaders. Strong negotiation skills, practical problem solving and the ability to lead through others will be essential.
