Hotel Manager (Finance and Operations)

SUMMARY:
Hospitality may be all about the guest experience, but behind the scenes, it's all about the management. And that's where you come in!  Our client is looking for a dynamic, commercially switched-on Hotel Manager to take charge of an established hospitality operation in Durban.

POSITION INFO:
We're looking for someone who knows their way around a P&L just as well as they know their way around guest relations. From budgets and cash flow to operations, people management, sales and marketing, you'll be calling the shots across the business and ensuring that both the guest experience and the bottom line get the attention they deserve. Key Responsibilities: Take the lead on the full hotel operation and daily performance Manage finances, budgets, forecasts and cash flow Drive CAPEX planning and expenditure management Prepare financial reports, audit documentation and board papers Ensure strong corporate governance and regulatory compliance Develop and execute sales and marketing strategies Drive operational efficiency, profitability and service excellence Lead, motivate and develop teams across departments Oversee guest relations and ensure an exceptional customer experience Identify opportunities to grow revenue, manage costs and improve performance Job Experience and Skills: Diploma or Degree in Finance or Business Management 5 to 10 years' experience across finance, operations and management Hotel, hospitality or gaming industry experience essential (with familiarity in the gaming / casino environment) Strong financial management experience Solid operational, HR and people management experience Experience developing and implementing sales and marketing strategies Confident leadership style with excellent communication and decision-making skills Commercially minded, hands-on and solutions-driven A hotel is only as good as the people running it, and a great Hotel Manager knows how to get every department checking in to the same vision.
