Forklift Mechanic / Field Service Technician

SUMMARY:
Our client in George is looking for an experienced and reliable Forklift Mechanic / Field Service Technician to join their team.
This is a hands-on position where you will be responsible for the servicing, maintenance, fault-finding and repair of forklifts & more, both at the workshop and at client sites throughout the Garden Route.

POSITION INFO:
Responsibilities: Service and maintain forklifts Diagnose and repair mechanical faults Carry out preventative maintenance Attend to breakdowns at client sites Travel to client sites to inspect and repair forklifts Work on forklifts in the workshop in George Identify mechanical, hydraulic and electrical faults Complete service reports and maintain accurate maintenance records Ensure forklifts are safe, reliable and ready for operation Assist with general mechanical maintenance when required Requirements: Qualified or experienced Mechanic \/ Diesel Mechanic Previous forklift repair and maintenance experience will be highly advantageous Strong mechanical and fault-finding skills Experience with hydraulic systems will be an advantage Basic electrical and diagnostic experience Ability to work independently and solve problems on-site Good communication and customer-service skills Valid driver's licence Willingness to travel to client sites Reliable, responsible and safety-conscious If you enjoy mechanical work, problem-solving and working with different equipment and customers , this could be an excellent opportunity to grow your career Please note only candidates that meet the minimum requirements will be considered.
