Financial Manager (Manufacturing)

SUMMARY:
Our client in the Automotive Manufacturing industry is looking to employ an experienced Financial Manager to join their team based in Gqeberha (Port Elizabeth). 

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: Matric or equivalent. Formal accounting qualification. SYSPRO Expertise: Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience. Must be comfortable with full accounting function, including Cashbook, Creditors, Debtor and Inventory modules. Accounting: Strong understanding of accounting principles. Industry Experience: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is non-negotiable. (Automotive preferred) Excel Skills: Advanced proficiency to handle complex stock reports. Responsibilities but not limited to: Oversee the accounting function of the business This includes managing the bookkeeper, debtor, creditor and stock functions. Implement systems and controls. Ensure accurate recording of entries and train staff where needed. Inventory & Stock Control Stock movement checks and processing. Assisting with the verification of cycle counts. Costing: including reviewing Bill of Materials (BOM) and identifying fluctuations in raw material costs. Obsolescence: Identify and report on slow-moving or obsolete stock. Record scrap. General Ledger & Compliance Month-end journal entries. Prepare and submit VAT and EMP201s'. Maintaining the Fixed Asset Register, including ensuring all assets are tagged. Management accounts & Forecasts Prepare monthly management accounts. Review and highlight to management any areas for consideration. Drive cost savings. Detailed analysis to management. Prepare Forecasts. Product pricing\/costings Work on internal costings e.g. machine hour calculations. Assist the Commercial & Financial Director with quoting on new business. Prepare audit files for the following audits Annual Financial Audit. BBBEE Audit. AIS (Automotive Investment Scheme) Audits.
