Engineer (Civil or Structural)

Our client in the Engineering Consulting industry is seeking to employ an Intermediate Civil/Structural Engineer to join their team based in Port Elizabeth (Gqeberha).

POSITION INFO:
Requirements: BEng Civil Engineering or BSc Civil Engineering qualification 4-6 years' relevant engineering experience Experience in structural design and analysis Experience working on residential, commercial, and\/or industrial projects Ability to effectively manage and run projects from inception through to completion Strong technical and analytical skills Good understanding of structural engineering principles, design standards, and construction practices Ability to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects Strong communication and interpersonal skills Professional and client-focused approach Registration as a Professional Engineer is advantageous but not essential Responsibilities: Manage and execute structural engineering projects from concept through to completion Perform structural analysis, calculations, and design Prepare detailed engineering drawings, specifications, and reports Develop practical and cost-effective structural engineering solutions Coordinate with clients, architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines Monitor project progress, budgets, and deliverables Conduct site inspections and provide technical support during construction Review designs and ensure compliance with relevant engineering standards and regulations Identify and resolve technical and structural challenges Provide engineering input across residential, commercial, and industrial projects Ensure projects are delivered to the required quality, time, and technical standards Please note that if you do not receive a response within 2 weeks, your application has been unsuccessful.
