Electrical Technician

SUMMARY:
We are looking for an Electrical Technician to join a technically driven industrial automation environment, working across electrical design, control systems, instrumentation and commissioning. This role offers exposure to a variety of industrial automation projects, with E-Plan design and PLC programming experience highly advantageous.

POSITION INFO:
Job Description: Assist with electrical installations, commissioning and maintenance of industrial automation systems Perform electrical fault-finding, troubleshooting and repairs Assist with electrical schematics and design using E-Plan Support PLC fault-finding, programming and control system troubleshooting Assist with instrumentation, including sensors, transmitters and measurement devices Support the installation, testing and calibration of instrumentation and control equipment Conduct equipment inspections and preventative maintenance Provide technical support at client sites and complete service reports Travel locally and internationally as required Skills & Experience: Experience in electrical maintenance, industrial automation or control systems E-Plan electrical design experience highly advantageous PLC fault-finding and programming experience advantageous Exposure to industrial instrumentation, sensors, transmitters and control devices Understanding of electrical schematics, control panels and industrial wiring Strong electrical troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Good communication skills and a professional approach to client interactions Valid driver's licence and passport Willingness to travel locally and internationally Qualifications: National Diploma, BTech or relevant trade-tested qualification in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation or a related field Only South African Residents or individuals with a relevant South African work permit will be considered.
