About the Role
We are seeking a driven, detail-oriented, and ambitious Junior Draughtsman to join our growing design and engineering team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated professional looking to build a robust career in technical drafting, mechanical layout, and structural design.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with senior designers and engineers to produce accurate 2D production drawings, detailed 3D models, and comprehensive technical documentation for manufacturing and site implementation.

POSITION INFO:
Key Responsibilities Technical Drawing: Prepare precise 2D manufacturing drawings, assembly drawings, and general arrangement (GA) layouts using industry-standard CAD software. Site Measurements & Evaluations: Conduct on-site visits to take accurate field measurements, gather technical data, and verify existing site conditions. 3D Modelling : Assist in developing, modifying, and optimizing 3D component models and complex assemblies. Documentation & Control: Manage drawing revisions, generate accurate bills of materials (BOMs), and maintain technical archives in compliance with company standards. Cross-Functional Collaboration : Coordinate seamlessly with project engineers, workshop fabricators, and site installation teams to ensure designs are practical, cost-effective, and production-ready. Quality Assurance: Review technical markups and implement necessary drawing revisions to strictly align with project specifications. Requirements & Qualifications Education : National Diploma or relevant qualification in Mechanical Drafting. Software Proficiency : Strong working knowledge of major CAD packages (such as AutoCAD, ZWCAD, ZW3D, or equivalent drafting environments). Technical Acumen : Solid understanding of technical drawing standards, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and fundamental manufacturing and fabrication principles. Attention to Detail: Exceptional accuracy and a strong eye for spatial, mechanical, and structural detail. Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, in both English and Afrikaans, paired with a proactive, eager-to-learn attitude in a fast-paced environment. Experience: Fresh graduates or candidates with 3 to 5 years of practical drafting or design experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
